This is what remains of a once flourishing enclosed mall.....eight stores, one food court entry....no soul. Ownership's ignorance, cheapness and lack of
marketing acumen has doomed this area in west Slidell. They won't even
consider allowing a Cabella's or Bass Pro Shop to reconfigure the footprint
and allow a rebirth of the mall. If on-line shopping has spelled the end of the
brick and mortar store, why are big box strip mall developments continuing to grow? Just another story of shortsighted greed and indifference in American retailing. Perhaps legal seizure efforts by the City of Slidell under
public hazard codes or similar legal instruments would force these bastards to sell out and walk away for pennies on the dollar. They don't deserve any more than that.
