Employee at Macy's by ,
I am extremely unhappy with the Clackamas Town Center Mall. I am an employee with Macy's. The mall has so restricted parking for the employees of the mall that it has created a hardship for those of us who go in early and do the behind the scenes work for Macy's. The mall has continued to move the employee parking further and further out so that the employees must walk a very long walk to the employee entrance in the dark and sometimes wet and cold. One of my co-workers fell in the dark in the lot which is really a Tri-Met park and ride lot far, far away from the store. She hurt herself very badly and bears a vivid red scar on her arm from the surgery required to set the broken bone. We face being towed if we park in an area that is not designated parking for employees. I recently was cited and now I am in the system and cannot park in the Town Center lot as a customer without the threat of being towed. I will not be shopping there on my days off. The employee parking regulations are beyond ridiculous. A customer of the Town Center who shops there a lot was recently cited for parking her car there. The mall is much too aggressive in their attitude toward the employees of the mall. Without us there would be no mall. The mall is treating employees of the mall unfairly moving our designated parking areas further and further out so that we must walk a very long walk in the dark and cold to our employee entrance. Some employees have even quit in frustration. The mall has no consideration for the employees at the mall. There is plenty of parking at the mall for both employees and customers. The parking regulations for employees at the mall by the mall manager are unfair and without merit.
