Gameware Brand - hours and store locations

On Sunday, I went to mall of la to get my son a controller. The clerk introduced me to an cheaper brand controller that he swore would and never had customer complaints about. So I opted to get that controller, well once we got home, him and his brother proceeded to the game system to play, well to try and play. This off brand controller was very hesitant and was working as though it had a shortage or something. So we boxed it back up and I returned it the next day. Once I arrived to the store the guy told me that I couldn't return the device but I could trade it in for another one. WHY WOULD I WANT ANOTHER ONE,IF THE FIRST ONE DID NOT WORK. SO I ASKED WHAT IF THIS ONE DOES NOT WORK EITHER ? HE SAID with an very unpleasant attitude " JUST BRING IT BACK AGAIN".. Really ???? Who in there right mind wants to keep driving to the other side of town to keep exchanging out controllers. He told me that he couldn't do a refund because the box had been opened, well how can the customer know if a product will work if they do not open box and use try the product ? $49.49 is a lot of money to spend on a item that does not work and that one cannot get a refund on, so I then had to put additional money for another controller. For the total amount I ended up spending I could have just purchased an original Sony controller and been done. This is the very reason along that I deal with Game-stop stores only.
