Horrible experience of customer service by ,
I am writing this to let you know the horrible customer service I received from Aeropostale at Queens center mall, NY on January 4th, 2021 around 6:15 pm. I went to the store to return an item I have purchased online. I waited on the line to get the cashier and when I did, I told her that I am here to return an item and she asked me for a receipt. I then informed her that I have the email receipt since I purchased the item online. She left the counter with an attitude and came back to say that she couldn’t accept the return in the store since I don’t have the receipt in the box. Let me also mention, that I haven’t receipt in the box which I already told her. She then directed me to ship it back by mail. I went to the front of the store and asked for a manager and the security pointed me to the lady who was working at the front by the main door of the store. I explained her my situation and she told me that she was unable to accept the return. I then asked her if that was the Aeropostale policy. She rudely said that is the location policy! I told her, that I was going to call the customer service and needed her name as a reference. She rudely refused to give me her name and she said she wasn’t allowed to do so. When I asked her if she was the store manager, she shock and mumbled and she said she was the assistant manager. I also asked her about the store manager’s information which she refused to give. I went ahead and called the customer service and spoke to an agent named David. While talking to him, I questioned him about the policy and asked him if I could return the item in the store which he said I was able to. After explaining him the situation and the expedite I had at the store, he asked me to return back to the store and to put the manager on the phone. The same manager lied to David and said, we have the picture of the receipt and she needed an email receipt or a physical receipt. As mentioned earlier, I should her and the cashier the email receipt. Clearly it shows, she was LYING and had no desire to help us out. Not sure why I received this kind of service at that location after spending so much money with Aeropostale. She should definitely not be a manager of the store as she has integrity issues as well as no customer service skill. Action should be taken so that no one else gets treated this way. I will no longer be a customer of Aeropostale and I will make sure to post in social media informing my friends & family to avoid shopping with Aeropostale.
