Ann Taylor Factory Store - Rehoboth, Delaware DE 19971 - Tanger Outlets Rehoboth Beach

Ann Taylor is a wonderful store with great variety of options. Associates are helpful, warm and pleasant. I highly recommend the store.

I went into the Ann Taylor Factory store at the Tanger Outlet in Rehoboth recently and was approached by a sales associate who loudly and rudely told me that I had to take off my face shield and put on a cloth mask instead. I quickly explained that my doctors have told me not to wear a face mask but to wear the shield instead due to a specific condition I have that has landed me in the ER twice when the mask mandate went into place and I tried to wear the mask. She said that was fine and walked away. I have never been approached in a any store since this began a year ago and was quite surprised to be approached like that. I really didn't feel much in the mood to shop after that but I decided to stay and do shop quickly since I did not really felt welcome in the store. I found 5 dresses to try on and when I went into the dressing room there was another sales associate in there and she seemed to be in a bad mood and sternly told me that I can only take five items to try on. I showed her that I only had five. I ended up purchasing one dress in the end but the entire shopping experience was not enjoyable at all. This Ann Taylor store should really reconsider their approach to people that need to wear face shields instead of a mask. They should be happy that I wore one at all. Secondly, they should not restrict how many items you take back to try on. Luckily I only had five items but if I had more I just would have walked out. Ann Taylor needs to learn how to make their customers feel welcome and then we would actually spend more money in their store. Now after my experience I have no intention of going back to the store at all.
