Terrible Customer Service by ,
Sorry in advanced for the long review: I went to this store to take advantage of the iPhone offer they were running, where if you buy an IPhone you get an iPad for $99. I went in on a Friday night asking about buying the phone with full intent to purchase it with or without the iPad. The sales associate then starting asking about my Directv plan and the offer of $350 off the iPhone if I start a new plan with Directv, and that even though my parents have an account with them, if I open it, I can take the advantage of the offer and just have them switch plans to under me as a new user. I agreed to listen to him, although I told him from the start that my parents were out of the country, and that when they come back I would like to have him sit down with them to make sure the plan was better than what they currently have, which he told me was and that they would be paying less. My boyfriend and I spend over two hours in the store, while he set everything up, giving me the phone, ipad, and the new directv service. I told him I would come back the following Friday at 7:30 with my parents to go over the plan to make sure it is right, and he said no problem he will be there and to ask for him and give gave me his card. It meticulously wrote everything down that he said to me because I knew I would be relaying the information back to my parents. I went back the following Friday, and asked for him. He looked at me like he forgot who I was, which is fine because its a busy store. I then introduced him to my mom, pulled out all my notes, and asked him to go over it with my mom to tell her about the plan and to ensure it was less than what she was paying, because my mom said she had gotten loyalty offers that lowers her bill. He was looking at my notes, and then said a price, and my mom said well what about my loyalty discount? And he said oh that's included in the price. I told him that we never even talked about that because I wasn't aware of their loyalty offers. He was insistent that we did (even though he didn't remember who I was) and asked to show him the form he gave me. I told him he never gave me the form (which my boyfriend agreed) and showed him the only piece of paper I received from him that night. He then insisted he gave it to me and then continued to look through my address book where there were personal checks. This made me extremely angry, I have never seen an employee go through a customers personal items (which he also did last week but I did not make a big deal about). I said if he can't give me the package he told me at the price he told me then we want to cancel. He then went and got who I thought was the manager, but was just another associate. That associate went over everything and said "Well, it looks like you should just stick with your original plan". And said also this is a one year contract and the price would go up after one year, which I said the other associate originally told me 2 years, as it was clearly written in the notes. So all in all the new plan that was given to me was more expensive than the plan we had. We expressed we were upset and wasted our time and how I was lied to and wanted our old plan back. The associate said that would make sense, and then also informed me because I was not taking the new plan I would have to pay the $350 extra for the phone that I had bought last week. I was extremely upset because I had sat for over 2 hours last week and another hour this week and was lied to, and all they wanted was the money for the phone. When I said isn't there something you can do for me, I am not saying I want $350 off, but considering I was lied to and also my personal things were being touched, I would expect something. They said if I am returning the iPad they would not charge me the restocking fee that they usually charge. That's it. The original associate never apologized, and the most recent one did but wasn't able to help us out at all except offering to not charge me to restock an item. What terrible customer service, rest assured I will never go back to that store again.
