Rude Employee by ,
If I could leave no stars I would...I had such an awful experience tonight, I arrived at 8:40pm and needed to buy a new phone quickly. When I walked in the door the two associates were sitting around and the woman Claudia Ramos asked what I needed - I told her I needed a new phone - she asked what kind and I said iphone. She then let me know that they did not have any floor models as they already put them away. I said I was not sure of what model I was interested in as I have had my 7 for two years. After asking to see the models she finally went in the back and brought out an 8 as well as XS because I did not want a large phone - the XS was dead and I could not see any of it's functionalities and it was attached to a large theft prevention device that was not removable. I asked what the differences were and she started by just saying the XS was newer and better - I was looking for actual comparisons as I physically could not use one of the models and was unsure what would be better for me. I was given barely any information on the phones all with attitude and eye rolls - I know they were about to close but I was in a situation where I had no phone and needed one before the next day. After feeling really offended by the way I had been treated since walking in the door, I finally said I don't appreciate the way you are treating me, I am trying to buy a $1,000 phone and you have not been nice to me or trying to help me make a purchase at all. Claudia then grabbed the phones said well I don't have to listen to you or sell you a phone - she stormed into the back and never returned. I said to the other salesman, Kevin can you check availability and help me purchase a phone? Kevin is only in his first week of training but apologized for the way Claudia was acting and he helped me finish my purchase - I needed to have a phone tonight as I spend six hours with apple support the past two days - via the phone, chat and in person and they could not fix my phone. Kevin did his best and answered all my questions, as I literally bought a phone sight unseen. He did have to ask for help from Claudia as he was so new, but she would not come out from the back she just told him what to do without assisting. I could not believe this type of situation occurred all because I was trying to buy a phone during business hours. I have been an AT&T customer for 20 years and am baffled that this is the way I was treated. I spent $1,200 today and the sale was under Claudia's name as Kevin does not have a log in yet - so she will be paid commission for a sale she did not want or care about which is unfair. Kevin was a great help and I truly appreciate him but I am sorry that he is being trained by such a rude employee - I do not understand how she has a job as a customer service sales rep for this company as she had none of those skills tonight. I hope this review is sent up to Corporate as I will be calling in to make sure they are aware of this employee that represents their company.
