Candy Tyme - Salem, Oregon 97301 - Willamette Town Center

I used to go in there and everyone was helpful . I had asked for gum balls for my grandbabies as they requested some from the little gumball machine out front. (With germs going around)... I said lets see if we can buy some. Three young girls were at the counter... one offered samples, the other lead me to the tall canisters filled with gumballs to the ceiling. All different kinds and flavor. Nervous as I had my hands full with a toddler I asked if she could help fill a bag as I am sure they would come pouring out fast. Indeed they did she said she could put the others back. I bought about 12 big gumballs for $1.96..not bad but realizing they were like jaw breakers when the kids tried and ate one. So I did thr same and almost broke a tooth. Extremely hard and stale and were not any flavor . When I asked of I could get a return or something else she stated "We do not do returns or exchanges. "..."Okay, "I said "These are seriously too hard and horrible. " The two girls giggled and said , "Well gumballs are always hard!" ... I wanted to have her tell that tonmy grandaughter's face who was crying because she couldn't eat one and little did I know those probably were for decoration purposes stacked along the walls to high... I should have been smarter as they have probay been there for years. Prior to this it was ...really sad as I went in there with my last $6.00 and bought those gumballs 1.96 and bubble gum tape 1.96 for my 1st grandson and some other candy that is sold ins stores for my 2nd grandson grandson for 2.70... that was marked up 1.00 more from retail stores. When I found an extra $2.00 I asked if they had any of the small pieces of fudge or chocolate for 2.00 and one of the girls was "snide" and said, "Those are $2.75."...and giggled. There was three behind the counter and one was new. I was grateful for the girl that served the gumballs in a bag and offered help when I told her thay I was stressed they were all gonna come out too fast...and tye sample lady was nice to ask if the kids could have a sample of candy. Though I should always ask as one was a Jordon Almond. Other than that was just sad ay how I was treated and will never come back.
