Grand Jewelers - Fairfax, Virginia VA 22033 - Fair Oaks Mall

We had a strict budget for the ring and the sales associate at another store had not been particularly friendly with us/seemed to give the air that we were wasting his time (though I had looked online and verified that there were rings within our budget at that store). Due to this experience, we were actually going to buy an engagement ring abroad during one of my partner's business trips, thinking that we could get something within our budget and of good quality. I had come into Grand Jewelers only to look at styles and to get a sense of what I liked - I was upfront about this, and the sales associate was still happy to show me different styles and explain the GIA system to me. They encouraged me to try multiple styles to make my decision. They did not act at all as if sitting with me was a chore of any kind and were not pushy at all in the process. I found a ring I loved, and the manager brought it down to a price within my budget, which was incredible. Long story short - we ended up purchasing the ring and I can't wait to wear it!

We had our wedding rings resized one size up and made sure to put in huge writing with the order not to mess up the engravings on the inside of the rings. Comes the day to pick up the ring and the engraving is completely gone, sanded down, you had to use a magnifying glass to see where it even was. The ring was actually not even evenly resized. We wait for them to fix the engraving. Comes back with a different engraving then when asked for refund the person offers a store credit. When I heard about this and call back to get the refund the store manager tells me to come back in person. I will never ever step my foot in this Grand Jewelers. Keep the money. Whoever is your jeweler should get fired. -5 stars. Completely useless store. Don't come here. As we assumed an extremely shady. Doubtful honesty and legality. Who’s the owner?
