Great American Cookies - Davenport, Iowa 52806 - NorthPark Center

I have been a long-time customer of this store and will never be going back. I ordered a cookie based on a design on their website. The price I was quoted on the phone when I placed the order was $25.99 which is exactly what the website showed for the design number I provided them. The site is location specific and I had selected the Davenport store when looking at designs and prices. Then when I went to pick it up, the girl first said $26.99 and I handed her that and she said, no it's $27.99. I even had the page printed from the website to show her that showed exactly the design I ordered and her excuse was first that they knew the website wasn't updated and then she said it was location specific. I was stuck since it was expected at a party or I would have told them to just keep it and walk out. But they count on you being stuck so I had to pay the extra. To me that's fraud to quote one price (both online and by phone) and then charge more when you pick it up. And, no, in case anyone wonders, the difference was not sales tax - they charged me 10% more just for the item I ordered. They've lost a long-term loyal customer.
