Awful and Anti-Disability Ownership by ,
By far one of the rudest shop keepers I have ever encountered. I love supporting local business and had taken my mother (who loves fragrance) because I had heard that they carry a variety of niche fragrances. While I can usually shrug off an overly pretentious and snobbish staff, the owner, Mindy Stewart, crossed a line when she was actively offensive to my mother. My mother, who suffers from a brain injury, struggled to recall a perfume she had liked in the past (Kalimantan by Chantecaille) and the woman questioned my mother's ability to function in everyday life - over not being able to remember a perfume name for three minutes. I promptly decided I would buy nothing that I had been interested in then or at any time in the future. To add insult to injury, when I declined to buy an $18 hand cream I had been interested in, she said "It isn't a big ticket item," as if to imply that I was cheap or poor. The fact is I didn't want to buy it because I didn't want to support such a vile and anti-disability business. I hope news gets around the small town of Little Rock that making fun of people with brain injuries is not cool.
