Poor Service and Unfriendly to Minorities by ,
We had been here several times and each time the experience got worse. At the beginning, we were really happy that finally there was a new restaurant after Joe's and Paparazzi closed suddenly. The food at Primo Mercato is average but it's convenient. However, the service is the worst in the mall and of any restaurants in the surrounding towns. Not only is it disorganized, the attitudes toward certain types of customers are highly questionable. Tonight we were there tonight trying to order a pizza. The cashier for the pizza orders was closed due to short staffing (on a Friday night!). One of the managers, Michael, unapologetically sent me to the bar to order the pizza rather than taking it himself. After a few minutes of me standing there, the frustrated bartender told me that he had to make his drink orders and I had to wait until he was free. I then spoke with another manager, Paul, about my situation and he took my order. But then things went really poorly. After a 25 minute wait, when my pizza was finally ready, the other manager Michael gave my pizza to someone who had ordered long after I did with Paul. Michael refused to listen to me and insisted that the pizza was not my order. During the 25 minute time that I was standing there waiting for the pizza, Michael never acknowledged my existence, though he was friendly enough when he was offering plates and service to other customers. The only difference between me and other customers? I'm not White and Michael is. Draw your own conclusions. The service is poor, the food is just average, and the attitude toward me was unforgivable. I cannot recommend anyone to come here, particularly minorities.
