Went into Spencer’s today to look for a gift for a friend. The entire time I was in the store, one associate followed me and my other friend around. As I was leaving, I stopped to look at the stash jars. I placed the one I was looking at back on the shelf because it was a little more than I wanted to spend, and as I turned around the associate who had been following us around asked in a very rude way to see the inside of my purse. I told her she could look, but I did not steal anything. She then proceeded to tell me I could pay for the stash jar that I had “apparently” put in my purse. I tried to hand her both my purse and the bag I had from another store to look in, but she just said “okay” and let me leave. I don’t know if she just did not have adequate training or was having a bad day, but that is not the correct way to handle that situation. I would have been much kinder to her had she asked me politely. But instead, she was a cunt. Very disappointed, will not buy something from any Spencer’s ever again.
