Good sweets by ,
I decided to give this place a try, since there weren't a whole lot of reviews. The "cookies", I actually forgot what they are called, are interesting and tasty. However, very overpriced. Coffee was good and a fair price. I didn't get to try the gelato, but it looked tasty as well. One thing I wanted to mention though, was that it appeared the worker was being unnecessarily reprimanded. I couldn't help but overhear what appeared to be her Supervisor, telling her in a harsh way, that a customer complained about her. NOT the way it should be handled in my opinion. While the customer should always be treated well, I don't believe a Supervisor should treat their employees the way this worker was being treated. There IS such a thing as bad customers! Supervisor needs some training on people skills!
It's not about the situation. It's the way it's handled! by ,
This morning I wanted to get a coffee at about 10:45 am. As I walked up, I noticed an employee sitting with her boyfriend about to eat breakfast (not the employee I recognize from going there about 15-20 times). As I stood at the counter, I realized she was the only employee "working" and waited for her to acknowledge me. It took a moment, as her back was facing me, for her boyfriend to nod toward me indicating an interruption in their breakfast date. She turned her head, sighed, stood up and walked into the kiosk. She had a grumpy look on her face as she washed her hands and stands at the register. She just looks at me. She hasn't said a word to me yet, "One large iced vanilla coffee please" I said. It took her a minute to ring it in, as I know she is new and I had a card for a free coffee. I waited patiently as she rung it in and stomped back to the coffee machines. She tried to flip a switch a few times and instead of telling me something was wrong and I should come back (I was on break from work) she went to the table her boyfriend was sitting at and grabbed her phone to presumably call her manager, and it took about 8 minutes for her to finally ask the maintenance guy to flip the breaker because apparently the power wasn't working. At this point I have been standing at the register for almost 20 minutes, as the maintenance guy disappears to flip the breaker, the employee walked over to the table where her boyfriend was sitting; and she sits down and continues to eat her breakfast. She still hasn't told me what is going on or how long it could take or why I'm even waiting at the register and if I hadn't overheard the conversation I wouldn't know what was going on. I walked over to the table and asked her if I should come back she looked up at me with a mouth full of McDonald's and answered while chewing "I don't know how long it could take, so ya." When I came back about an hour later to see if I could get the coffee I ordered, she didn't apologize or explain or say anything to me at all. I will finding a new regular coffee spot
