Wilsons Leather Outlet - Leeds, Alabama 35094 - The Outlet Shops of Grand River

My family and I went into Wilsons Leather Outlet today in Leeds, AL. Our mother purchased a purse today which it was a very nice purse. The problem that i have with the store sales associates is that they tried to accuse my sister of stealing a wallet. Get this, the wallet was in the purse which the associate opened and seen and rung us up and said have a wonderful day. The embarrassment comes into play when we are in another store and the security people are standing there just looking. Then an officer comes over and ask to speak with my sister, of course no one knows what’s going on because at this time we are unaware that the wallet doesn’t go with the purse. Okay back to the story. The officer ask to see the bag because the sales associate called them and said that the purse was heavy she feels like my sister stole something and something was wrong. Okay if you check someone out and you know the wallet doesn’t go with the purse why don’t you say, “hey this is separate”. No one said that to my mom but wants to call security; when the associate did not open her mouth to say a damn thing about the wallet. It’s one thing that people steal but it’s another when your innocent and being accused of something that the associate seen and didn’t say anything; waited until we all left the store and then decided to call security to say they were robbed. To me that’s a bunch of BS!!!!!!!! Next time associates say hey this not belong especially when there wasn’t a tag on the wallet. It’s so sad when people accuse someone of stealing and they didn’t. Stealing is a strong word, robbing is a strong word, and to me they handled the situation very unprofessional and we will not longer shop at this store. Oh, by the way my sister turned around went in the store with the associate who said she stole the wallet and bought the wallet and the associate couldn’t even look at her in her eyes. Just a bad experience in Wilsons Leather Outlet in Leeds, AL today which will nolonger be apart of my shopping needs.
