Anchorage Market is Alaska’s largest open-air market, located outside the Dimond Center Mall at 88th Avenue. It was established in 1992 and has been a family-friendly attraction for locals and tourists alike. The market offers a variety of goods, food and entertainment in a carnival-like atmosphere. Anchorage Market is owned and operated by Webb’s Consulting & Management Services, Inc. Anchorage Market consists of up to 100 vendors on the south side of the Dimond Center Mall. The vendors sell a wide range of products, such as art and photography, apparel, fresh produce, exotic goods from around the world, or Alaskan souvenirs. The market also has a wide selection of food vendors that offer something for everyone, such as smoked salmon, reindeer sausage, pizza, tacos, ice cream and more. Anchorage Market is open every Saturday and Sunday during the summer season, from mid-May to mid-September. The opening hours are 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM on Saturdays and 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM on Sundays. It attracts over 300,000 visitors every year and features live entertainment on stage and in the aisles, such as music, dance, magic and more.
