Tlaquepaque Arts & Shopping Village is a unique and charming destination in Sedona, Arizona, that offers an exceptional collection of galleries, shops and dining establishments. It is located at 336 Az-179, Sedona, AZ, 863361, about 2 hours drive from Phoenix. The village was inspired by the traditional Mexican town of Tlaquepaque, meaning “the best of everything”. It was built in the 1970s by Abe Miller, a visionary developer who wanted to create an artist community that blended with the natural beauty of Sedona. He hired Mexican artisans to craft the buildings and decorations, using authentic materials and techniques. The result is a stunning architectural masterpiece that resembles a centuries-old Mexican village, with vine-covered stucco walls, cobble-stoned walkways and arched entryways. Tlaquepaque has over 51 specialty shops and exclusive art galleries, featuring a wide range of art expressions in every medium. You can find Western and eclectic bronze sculpture, functional and traditional ceramics, breathtaking blown glass creations, contemporary and Southwestern fine art paintings, weavings, decorative arts, architectural décor pieces and stunning large format photography. You can also witness gifted Sedona artisans at work in some of the galleries. Tlaquepaque also offers five exceptional restaurants that cater to every taste and occasion. You can enjoy excellent Mexican cuisine at El Rincon Restaurante Mexicano, fine French dining at Rene at Tlaquepaque, an on-site brewery and pub fare at Oak Creek Brewery & Grill, wonderful lunches in an intimate garden setting at Secret Garden Cafe, or delicious coffee and pastries at The Pump House Station Urban Eatery & Market.

Tlaquepaque is open daily, Monday - Thursday from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm and Friday from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm. It hosts various cultural events throughout the year, such as festivals, concerts, art shows and workshops. It also has a beautiful chapel that is available for weddings and other ceremonies. The chapel was built in 1977 by Abe Miller as a tribute to his wife Nancy, who passed away from cancer. It features stained glass windows, hand-carved doors and a bell tower. Tlaquepaque has ample parking spaces for visitors. There are two main parking lots: one on the north side of the village and one on the south side. There are also additional parking spaces along Highway 179.
