I love Zae Jewelry.

Quite unimpressed. Purchased engagement/wedding ring set in Sep 19. Wasn't completely satisfied with the clarity of the main diamond. Went back to discuss and get it sized. Was told "no problem", we'll get it sized (to a 4), which will necessitate a new ring (can't down-size to a 4 with the ring I purchased, so they create a new one). The new rings will then come with a new diamond and since it's new, it will also come with a new 60-day return/exchange option. If we don't like the diamond, we can simply return/exchange the set. Got a phone call in Jan that the rings were ready for pick up. Arrived a few days later to pick them up, only to find out only the wedding band was ready, not the ring. So, waited several weeks more, and after no phone call, decided to stop in on 23 Feb 20 to see what was going on with the new rings. The associate said oh yes, they're here. So, after physically swapping them out the associate said we were good. I asked for a new receipt, to allow for the return/exchange if necessary. She simply ripped off a piece of notebook paper and wrote a note that read "Picked up rings on 2-23-20. Able to return or exchange for 60 days." Again, I asked for something more "official", and was told we were good because everything is in the system. Well guess what, on 23 May (delayed due to COVID-19) we found out that there was NO information in the system that indicated we picked up the rings on 2-23-20. Of course, the store I purchased the rings at (Oak View) is still closed, so I am unable to talk to the associate who gave me the "note". So, of course the store mgr (Dan) at Westroads Mall said he couldn't do anything because my receipt says the rings were purchased in September 2019. Of course, they don't sell size-4 rings in the store (indicating there was a swap), but he want to talk about that. He said there was nothing he could do, and I need to call their 800# for customer service. Well, guess what, I've called 5 times now, only to be on hold ... or placed on hold after someone answers. Probably spend 3+ hours on hold. So, take the above review for what it is. Pretty sad at the mess Zales has made. Take my advice and don't waste your time here.
